| Davis Monthan Airfield is situated in a desert valley, encircled by mountains. It accommodates over 5000 aircrafts. The dry and sunny climate of Arizona generates a suitable environment for aircraft maintenance. The discharged military aircrafts await dismantling, or modification into piloy-less spy planes, or some may be sold to other countries. In America, arms manufacturing is a dynamic industry. America, which is the strongest economic performer in the world, also has the highest military expenses. In 2005, America splashed out five hundred million USD on military arms, the same amount as Argentina’s national income of the same year. Since 2000, the military budget has been increasing worldwide, reaching 1.2 trillion USD, 380 times more than World Environment Fund’s budget in the next four years. The Fund is managed by The World Bank, UNDP, and UNEP, which is a UN subsidiary unit in charge of the development and conservation of the environment; all of them sponsor projects that fight against climate change, the decrease of water and ozone as well as the deterioration of the earth’s surface.
